The Brief
Some initial ideas, thumbs and bird sketches:
For this brief, I think I will choose to have a bird as the figure, and the object the thing that it is perched on.
I think the more detailed fine lined approach will work best for rendering on photoshop. I think the magpie drawing in the top right it actually quite a nice drawing by itself, but I don't think it will fit well compositionally due to its poise/form.
After I had got a rough idea of how the birds might look, I started sketching out some thumbnails and composition plans, this time being quite conscious to to consider line of sight, as I had failed to do that in the last brief.
