I think that I will go for quite a rough/sketchy hand drawn approach, as this way of drawing for me I often find it much easier to give my characters some quite interesting expression and movement.
I hate to try and compare myself to the masters, but I think I will look at the techniques of Quentin Blake, as his iconic tone of voice very much creates simplistically charming characters that seem to have so much expression and movement in so few lines.
